Mansafe and Fall Arrest Test and Inspection
Latchway Mansafe Systems:
Latchways Mansafe Systems or alternative Mansafe Systems are horizontal or vertical safety lines designed to keep people safe whilst working at a height. They are designed for fall restraint, (to prevent a fall occurring) but must be able to take fall arrest loading's in accordance with EN795. It is vital that these systems are tested and maintained regularly to ensure the are working properly. Our team are specially trained and all testing, inspection and certification of fall protection systems are carried out in accordance with current British Standards; BS EN 795, BS EN 7883. Our engineers are accreditation to test and inspect both Vertical and Horizontal Latchway systems. |
When are mansafe systems required?
Mansafe systems are important whenever there is a requirement for people to be working at height. The purpose of a mansafe system is to prevent workers from falling via being attached to the mansafe system whilst working at height. There are many reasons as to why people need to access the roof of a building; our engineers will often use them when installing Lightning Protection Systems or carrying out Church Works. How often should a system be tested?
Any fall arrest system used for Work at Height must be inspected for integrity and compliance at least once every 12 months in accordance with the WAHR (Work at Height Regulations). Due to the very nature of where they are based, Weather conditions can have a impact on the integrity of the roof safety wire system. Rodells offer a complete testing service to provide peace of mind that your safety systems are compliant and fit for purpose. |
